Change Your Life with Dental Implants

Are you suffering from missing, broken, or decaying teeth? Edentulous patients often suffer in silence thinking there is nothing that can be done to restore their smile. Whether you are missing just one tooth or a whole mouth of teeth, your smile can be restored thanks to dental implants.

At Sycamore Family Dental, we have been helping patients suffering with missing teeth all over the Livermore, CA area. Patients needing full mouth dental implants or full arch dental implants can regain their natural looking smiles in as little as one appointment. If you have been searching for the solution to your missing teeth, Dr. Lori Ross Tijerino at Sycamore Family Dentistry can help you!

Missing teeth can have detrimental, long-term effects on your oral health if not addressed right away. Tooth gaps can cause gradual shifting of the surrounding teeth, as well as possible future tooth loss thanks to bone degradation. The resulting effect on facial structure and the remaining natural teeth leads to an increase in pain and difficulty chewing and speaking. However, the effects of missing teeth go beyond just the physical.

Patients often confess to feeling self-conscious and hesitate to interact with others due to fear of judgement about their smile. This lack of self-confidence slowly breaks down our ability to interact with those around us and can be isolating. You deserve to feel good about your smile! Your oral health is important and should be a priority in enhancing your quality of life.

Choosing Dental Implants

Full mouth dental implants have become the go-to technology for patients looking to rejuvenate their smile. When patients think of whole mouth solutions to missing teeth, removable dentures are often the technology that comes to mind. Removable dentures are often less expensive than whole mouth dental implants, however in the long term many patients often agree the investment in full mouth dental implants is well worth it.

Removable dentures utilize adhesives to stay in place. They may shift while chewing and speaking and may feel uncomfortable over time to changes in facial structure resulting from bone loss. Removable dentures can be misplaced or damaged. Over time they may need to be replaced completely if fit adjustments no longer fix the issue of ill-fitting dentures.

Today, many patients opt for full mouth dental implants or full arch dental implants instead of removable dentures. Dental implants are made up of three components: post, abutment, and restoration. The post is anchored directly into the bone and mimics a tooth’s root by stabilizing the restoration and the surrounding bone. As a result, the implant helps prevent further bone loss and possible changes to surrounding facial structures. The abutment connects to the post and extends beyond the gumline to act as an attachment for the restoration.

Your restoration is customized just for you based on traits like skin tone and face shape to help your new smile look as natural as possible. Your full mouth dental implants or full arch dental implants are a permanent solution to missing teeth. No more struggling with adhesives or ill-fitting removable dentures. Your full mouth dental implants help prevent bone loss and help you feel more confident about sharing your smile with others. Sycamore Family Dentistry is ready to help you on your smile makeover journey and it’s easier than you think!
